Where is Grantley Hall located?
Grantley Hall is located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, just five miles from Ripon and under an hour from the historic city of York.
What is the history of Grantley Hall?
Grantley Hall is a distinguished 17th-century estate with a rich heritage, having evolved from a grand private residence into a luxury five-star hotel, and is now privately owned by the Sykes family following its restoration and reopening in 2019.

Yes, electric vehicle charging points are available within the guest car park at Grantley Hall and are complimentary for all residents.
Can I bring my dog?
Grantley Hall operates a no-dogs policy throughout the hotel and grounds, but registered assistance dogs, including guide dogs are welcome. Dogs are warmly welcomed at the nearby Grantley Arms.
Can children dine and stay at Grantley Hall?
Children aged eight and above are welcome to stay overnight at Grantley Hall. They can dine in most of the restaurants, except Shaun Rankin and Bar & Restaurant EightyEight, which have a minimum age of 12. For younger children, the Grantley Arms accommodates guests of all ages.
Can I have a photo or a video shoot at Grantley Hall?
All photography and videography must be approved in advance by Grantley Hall, with formal shoots subject to availability, permissions and potential fees, while informal guest photography is generally permitted. Please see our photoshoot policy here.
What kind of gift vouchers do you offer?
Grantley Hall offers a range of luxury gift vouchers including monetary vouchers, dining experiences, afternoon tea, spa days and overnight stays, allowing recipients to enjoy the estate in a way that suits them. Please visit our gifting page for more information.
What time does the gift shop open?
The Grantley Hall Gift Shop is open every day 10:00 to 17:00 (closed on Christmas Day).

What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served in Fletchers Restaurant from 07:30 until 10:30.
Are your restaurants open to non-residents?
Yes, all restaurants and bars at Grantley Hall are open to non-residents, with reservations recommended to ensure availability.
What are the dining options at Grantley Hall?

Grantley Hall has three main bars, Valeria’s Champagne & Cocktail Bar, Norton Bar, and Bar & Restaurant EightyEight, each offering a distinct atmosphere - from elegant cocktails at Valeria’s to a more relaxed setting in Norton Bar, and a contemporary dining and drinks experience at EightyEight.
When is Valeria’s Champagne & Cocktail Bar open?

Rooms & Facilities
How many bedrooms are there at Grantley Hall?
There are 47 bedrooms at Grantley Hall.
Is there a laundry / ironing service for during my stay?
Yes, laundry and dry-cleaning services are available for guests throughout their stay.
Do you have adjoining or interconnecting rooms for families / parties?
Yes, Grantley Hall offers a limited selection of interconnecting rooms and suites, which are ideal for groups travelling together, subject to availability.
Can we leave our luggage with you?
Yes, luggage storage is available both before check-in and after check-out, allowing guests to make the most of their time at Grantley Hall.
What time is check-in / check-out?
Unless otherwise agreed, bedrooms will be available from 15:00 and we kindly ask that bedrooms are vacated for 11:00. Late check-out may be available at an additional cost, subject to availability. Guests are permitted to access the spa until 13:00 on the day of departure.
Can I store my valuables during my stay?
Yes, all our rooms & suites have an in-room safe.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to arrival, with later cancellations subject to charges, and prepaid or special offers remain non-refundable and non-transferable.

Can I get married at Grantley Hall?
Yes, Grantley Hall is fully licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and receptions. Couples can host their ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast, and evening celebrations all within the estate, with both indoor and outdoor settings available. Is there any entertainment at Grantley Hall in the evening?
Grantley Hall offers live music at Valeria’s on selected Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. On selected Fridays, live music is also available in Norton Bar between 18:00 and 20:45, along with Sunday Sessions in The Orchard from 17:30 to 20:15.
